Title: Display of stored parameter vs modified parameter
Post by: SoundRider on March 19, 2017, 07:00:51 pm
This would be great help for analysing or developing new patches starting with stored patches AND for live performance, if we change parameters and wish to go back to the stored value after a while ... 8)

Simple option: There could be a display (LED, or something in the parameter display), which goes on/off, if we change any parameter and match with the stored parameter.

Great option: If we change any parameter the display shows the actual value vs the stored value.

(I have got this on some other synths and it's very useful)

+1 on this one.

On the old Korg Electribes they quite simply made a little dot light up in the LED display once a knob reaches the value stored for the current patch.

This feature made it into the latest firmware (1.1.0.73). Hold down the Preset button while twisting a knob. The preset number display will show a relative value, and when you land on the same value as in the preset it will show "-P-"

Edit: here's a 'secret' page (https://www.arturia.com/matrixbrute-firmware-update-11) with some 1.1.0.73 info.

Oh, that's very good.

Is there a way to latch this function? All knobs seemed to do this once yesterday, and I didn't understand what was happening before rebooting it away.

No latch unfortunately, and you're left with the Preset matrix page active when using it.

A feature suggestion of having a latching function for one handed operation has been submitted, and also for not selecting the Preset page if a knob was turned while holding the Preset button.
