Title: ableton live preset for mk2 ?

hello,

i'm a new owner of Arturia Minilab MK2, and new to MAO.

i don't find a preset for the mk2 in ableton live,
is it normal ? i feel that using the mk1 preset don't work really well.

Hi Yassine, and welcome on this board.

Yes it is normal, we are currently working with ableton team to have a midi remote script for the minilab Mkii, should be able hopefully on live 9.7.2 version.

In the meantime, indeed there is some common mapping in the minilab mk1 script (for knobs) only for controlling live, but it leads to inconsistencies once you open one of our Vc5 softs.

When do I plug in the Mk II, BEFORE opening an app (like iSem), or AFTER opening an app?  Or does it NOT matter?  I found with the SparkLE it helped to plug it in BEFORE opening the iSpark app.  Is the Mk II also something I want to plug in BEFORE opening an app?
