Hi,
Drumbrute worked fine out of the box but updating firmware to 1.1.0.0 killed the filter. It now emits a high pitch through the middle range and is very hissy. Worse when connected to USB. I am running Mac OS 10.7.5 which I understood to be OK.
Can I download and resinstall the original firmware?
Thanks.

I highly doubt this is a firmware related issue, as the firmware can't change the actual analog sound of the unit. It sounds like a classic case of USB caused ground loop. You may want to find out how to ground your computer or if not you can also cover a single pin on the USB cable to override the grounding altogether. Here is a related post someone made at the MOOG forum regarding how to modify the usb cable if needed... http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=15694

Hi.
Indeed this seems strange that a firmware update induces this issue.
Can you please create a support ticket and make us a short video clip of the issue ?
I will help us to provide a relevant diagnostic.
Best Regards
