midi newbie question here I hope yo dont mind.
I am trying to control beststep knobs to be able to scroll banks/patches in a plugin, specifically XLN addictive keys.
Tried searches unsuccessfully.
can anyone guide me through this?

It's up to how your unit receives bank and program change. It might be that it starts at 1, or it may be that out starts at 0. This will alter the way you set up the beat step.
I have set up bank and program change by using pads. Click on a pad, change the mode to patch change, then this is where you need to work out how your banks are changed on your unit. As a start, use Program number at 0, Bank LSB at 0 and Bank MSB at 1. Then for the second pad use Program number at 1, Bank LSB at 0 and Bank MSB at 1.
With knobs you can use the control option with either CC 0 or 6, then change the value to the desired patch. Sometimes a learn as you go method but with trial and error it starts to make sense.
