I'm trying to use my controller with Studio one, can someone help me out with the external device setup.

I don't have a Beatstep controller.
But i believe you shall set up Beatstep Pro as a "New Keyboard" in Studio One.
Perhaps this video contain the info you need. I have only zapped thru the video and it looks like the external device setup is in it:

There are other informations on the web about Studio One external device setup. Also on Presonus web-site.
And also in Studio Ones manual.

I hope this is enough for you to get your setup done.
