I saw a bit of discussion elsewhere on the forum about which ac adapter to use for the keylab 88 and I just wanted to offer a suggestion that the simpler solution might just be to use a mains/wall outlet usb adapter or 12v-to-usb or any other usb power source.
I tested it and the keylab 88 will turn on and output midi just fine if it's getting power over its usb even if the usb isn't connected to a computer.
This will probably be more practical for a lot of people than buying an adapter because these days most people have some kind of usb adapter.

Thanks for reporting this .
I was about to ask the same question !
Would a typical Apple USB adapter work ?
You mentioned a 12 V adaptor .. Is that standard ?
Thanks

Oh, sorry, to be clear, when I say 12v, I'm referring to standard car power outputs (aka, cigarette lighter outputs) that exist in most cars and also certain battery and generator units.
"Would a typical Apple USB adapter work ?"
I can't see any reason it wouldn't.
