Just wondered if anyone here had any experience of using the Beatstep Pro to clock the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler.
The Pro sends clock as can be seen from the flashing LEDs on the Boomerang, and it sends transport commands which is nice (sometimes), but it doesn't seem to fully sync, i.e. by getting the Boomerang to start its loops on the first beat of the sequence. Ableton does this, but I'm aiming for a computer-less setup.
Anyone who can help me understand what the Beatstep is telling the Boomerang to do, how they are interacting with each other, and what I can do to affect it in different ways?

Thanks, Torben, really just looking for info, hard to put it down to a specific question... it's just the way they play together doesn't make perfect sense to me... yet :)
I'll look up the community you suggest, cheers!

i have em both and am currently trying to set up everything in my studio around Reaper.
I have a question for you -- does the Boomerang not pass MIDI thru??? It doesn't seem to for me. I have the latest version 1.31 firmware installed on it.

answer to my own question- YES - just make sure you go and set the mode correctly as per the manual to version 3.4(?)

i'm having sync trouble with the same setup. bsp -> RangIII
loops start on time but drift. even internally in sync mode.
i'm running software version 3.4 on the boomerang.
did you find a solution Noglet?
