Title: [solved] Keystep and CV calibration?
Post by: Man-Machine on March 25, 2016, 12:06:53 am
I've noticed with other Arturia products, like the Microbrute and Beatstep Pro, problems related to controlling the pitch of analog synthesizer through CV.

Will Keystep provide a way to calibrate the CV output?

Hi Man Machine,

There is no way for the user to calibrate the PITCH CV output.

Regards,

There are scale and offset trimmers on the board where the cv outputs are mounted much like the Microbrute. I managed to scale mine to be pretty much perfect across all octaves using a multimeter (0.00v, 1.00v, 2.00v etc) as both were a little off out of the box.

I'm sure this voids the warranty so obviously this is at your own risk!!!

interesting. are they labelled 'scale' and 'offset'?
could you perhaps post a pic to help find them?

they are labeled as VR2 and VR5 on the PCB and are the only two trimpots on the whole unit. VR5 is scale
