Title: Beatstep Pro + Microbrute = losing bottom 2 octaves >,>
Post by: disposablefrequencies on January 18, 2016, 05:04:54 pm
when linking my beatstep pro to the microbrute, i seem to lose the lower octaves and gain some higher inaudible range, any ideas? kinda defeats the point of a bass synth if i cant do bass...lol. this has been driving me a bit potty lately tbh, all firmware is up to date, my SQ1 sequencer runs the microbrute fine...dunno why on earth the beatstep cant do the same job but better....still havent used the pro for anything yet, has been really glitchy with some of my other hardware also.

Hi .In the mcc set your 0v midi note to a higher setting like C2

yes you have to do this trick.
My BSP can't go below C2 with the pots... I can record C1 for example with the pads, but when i touch one of the encoder, the minimum value is C2.

If you switch octave on microbrute to lowest, and then press lowest C key on the microbrute it sets the base note of the synth for cv, and this for me enables the low notes on beatstep pro with microbrute.
