Title: New BSP with iMac - no sound?
Post by: mmarzluf on December 20, 2015, 03:56:46 pm
I just bought this BSP for my son who wants to get into digital music.  Rather than him spending Christmas day trying to figure out how to set it all up, I'm starting a week early.   I have the BSP connected to our iMac running 10.10.5.  Midi Control center is up, all firmware for the control center and BSP are up to date.  The instructions for the BSP say that by default, the pads are set to Chromatic scale notes, yet, I'm getting NO sound.  (computer speaker is working fine)
At this point, I'm not trying to do anything fancy.  I just want to have it set up enough that my son will be able to use it Christmas day.  We'll drill into the settings customizations, added equipment etc as he gets more involved.

Ultimately, I want to have his keyboard and iPad set up with it.   Working on those connections today, But concerned about not having basic sounds at this point.

Hi, The BSP has no internal sounds , it is a controller for other synths and software.

Thanks,
I knew that one.  I guess I was confused by the way it said by default the pads were on a certain scale.
I now have garage band open and low and behold - SOUND !!   LOL

Now....  only 999 more things to figure out.
