Title: play 5 bars to perfect beatmatch in Ableton Live?

last week purchased a BeatStep Pro

after testing and setting latency in Live

Live listening to external clock from BeatStep Pro (USB), playing a sequence
Live's metronome playing

it takes about 5 bars from all stopped to being beatmatched, where the matching with the metronome is solid.

Is this normal?

I have everything updated.

windows 8.1, core i7 processor, 8Gb Ram, solid state drive

Hi,
This is due to the interpolation algorithm used by Ableton Live which takes between 5 to 10 bars to be in time.
