Title: Loop from point x to point y?
Post by: pipo on November 21, 2015, 11:41:12 am
I did not find this either, Nor in the forum or in the manual. I hope it's hidden somewhere.

How can I loop from start point x to end point y?

Is there a way for instance to set start point and end point of a sequence?

Hi there are a load of training videos on youtube made by arturia
for each of the  different sequencers    they are worth a look

if I understand your question correctly
you need to use the LAST STEP BUTTON

so for example if you have a 16 step sequence going on seq1
but now you want to make it only play the first 8 steps
just press and hold the LAST STEP BUTTON and at the same time press STEP BUTTON 8

now you only have 8 steps playing

Unfortunately  you can't  select the start step X  only the last Y

I hope this helps

Cheers
Kev

Again thanx Key!!!
Yeah I looked to the Arturia vids (incl. last update) and did not see that.
Means it's not possible then, like you said.
I hope it's gonna be implemented in a next update. I can't imagine not being able to loop from step 3 to 9 (or whatever FIRST and LAST) during a jam.
Might be too much used to my MAQ and the other seqs I used in the past & present with ins & outs which allowed that.

I like the fact hat you replied quickly. It is a great support to me. Even if the function does not exist. It helps me not searching forever on the machine without a chance to find :)

Okay. I checked again a few videos and it's as you advised useful. Thank you.
Having the newest firmware update and the sequencer in front of me while checking the videos also brings more efficiency!
