Title: control mode, ableton and light feedback

I'm trying to use the control mode on my beatstep pro to toggle clips in Ableton but I can't figure out how to make it work so I get visual feedback about what's on. I can fake a toggle on/off but this doesn't work if I toggle a different clip on the same channel as the currently playing clip's light on the BSP stays on. I have Ableton set to send MIDI feedback but it doesn't seem to work. AFAIK I've tried all the permutations of toggle/gate/trigger on Ableton and the BSP. Am I missing something?

Nothing? no one knows if the BSP can receive midi feedback?
