Title: Clock out not working, but Midi out is

Hi Guys,

Maybe someone knows the solution to this. I'm hoping it's something simple but I can't seem to figure it out or find the answer anywhere.

I'm syncing my drum machine (TR-8) via midi from the clock out. Nothing happens when I press play. However if I move the cable form the clock out port to the midi out port, the machine syncs perfectly when I use the transport on the beatstep pro.

Any ideas?

Hi in the tr8  press ptn select while turning the power on if pad 6 is  lit  then turn it off and press start stop .then try sync again

Hi Terry,

No, 6 was not lit.. And nothing happened.
Any other ideas?

are you using the correct adapter grey lead out of the midi out (midi clock) to midi in of the tr8. clock out does not work on the tr8 which is midi

Ah that's it. I knew it was something simple. .yep it works fine out of the midi out. I guess I'll have to get a splitter so it works with all my other midi stuff.. ok thanks for your assistance
