Title: Clock Sync problems with SQ1, Volca Beats...
Post by: dav_id on August 02, 2015, 12:50:11 pm
hello everybody

I tried to sync my Korg SQ1 (sync in) with BSP (Clock Out) set to 1 pulse per step.
The SQ1 plays a few steps, then jumps 3 or 4 steps and so on...

Same if I sync it with Volca Beats.

And: If I use my SQ1/Volca as clock Master, the BSP won't play my DRUM analog outs!!!

Anyone having the same problems?

thanks
David

The gate/clock outs are higher voltage than sq1/volcas like, you'll want to attenuate the signal. Not sure about clocking the bsp though

Thank you! Attenuating the Signal helped - except from the very first step, the SQ1 is synced now.

Still, if  BSP gets "clock in" from another source, the DRUM GATES have no output...

stupid question but how do you attenuate the signal? is it via modular? I'm trying to get the sq1 and the beatstep pro in sync as well. thanks

modular is a handy way to do it if you have one. you could probably DIY a cable to do it, these would also probably do the trick : http://www.schneidersladen.de/en/koma-elektronik-attenuatorcable.html
