Title: Keeping Preset Tempo in Ableton
Post by: gary5 on June 09, 2015, 11:04:10 am
I made some presets on the stand alone spark 2. I set the tempo to 157. I opened up Spark in Ableton and the speed on the VST Spark is 120. I can't raise it above 120. I can modify it with Ableton settings but it changes the project to that one tempo. Do the presets in Spark keep their tempos when working in Ableton? Is there something i'm missing on this?

Hi gary ,If you don't want live to follow tempo turn off temp on the spark gui at the top see screenshot and also turn off host as your live projects will be out of sync.

Ok thanks. (This is in Spark2 not in ableton). I was in song mode and I wanted to apply different tempos to the presets. For example I have preset A1 and its set for 80bps and I want A2 to be 157bps. How do I change the tempo for each individual preset that makes up a song? If i set the tempo for a preset at 80bps. It will affect all of the other presets so they are all 80bps.

Hi, if your using spark in live you can set the main tempo to in the master section to follow your track  set spark host and tempo to on .i'm sure there not a way otherwise to change tempo in spark in song mode.

So in song mode you can only have one tempo? not multiple tempos?
