Title: spark hardware wont connect in cubase
Post by: djwaxxy on September 18, 2014, 11:07:09 am
hi im having problems with my spark le hardware.
its showing up in Cubase and I can use the first 8 pads to listen to sounds but it doesn't work properly.
1)when I open spark software it says connection failed so none of the knobs/filter pad/pad changes/transport ...etc work.
2)I can only use the premade sequenced drum patterns which come with spark 2 software ,if I start new and load up new library then no sounds are heard .
3)nothing can be automated or recorded from the hardware into my sequencer.

I really hope someone can help I really like the sounds but its very frustrating to use compared to my native instruments maschine hardware which syncs and is ready to use straight away.

Hallo,

I have the same problem.

The hardware does work standalone and as a VST-Instrument in Reaper,

but doesnt work well with Steinbergs Cubase Elements 8,

on Windows prof 7/64 bit, and on Windows 7 in 32 bit.

I can only use the great pads, but not the other knobs.

Yours musically,

HH Schlicht

Did you have a look at this video ?

Remember that your SparkLE musn't be checked as a midi device input or output in your daw.

Hope that helps !
