Title: Multiple outputs in Cubase 7 not working
Post by: Mr. Roboto on May 12, 2014, 10:56:43 pm
I created one instance of Spark 2 in the Cubase 7 VST-Instruments rack and activated all outputs. Now when using Spark only the Stereo output (-1) will show a signal. The outputs 1-32 do not have any signal.

Another bug or some wrong settings in Cubase?

Have you activated the outputs

There is a radio button on the top right of the spark instrument in the vst rack

It will open a menu listing the outputs and adds them as you select

Hope this helps as I have only just found this myself

Yes, thanks. I did this in the Instruments view (F11) of Cubase. It's the same menue.
So afterwards not only your stereo output (ID: -1) but also the other ( 1- 32 ) showed some signal in your Cubase mixer (F3)?

Strange, I still only have a signal on the stereo sum even all of the outputs got activated.  :-[

yes there are outputting a signal

You have the outputs routed to 16 out at the bottom of spark mixer aswell instead of master ?

I think they still start at  -1 I will check again

Ahhh! I think that will do the trick. I wasn't aware about this. Thanks a lot for your help.

If you swap kit it stays 16 out but it only puts out master

You have to reselect it

This should be implemented as an option in the preferences I think.

Yes, I know. My last post was just referencing the option to choose if the single channel output settings should remain as they are or if they should change to the stored settings when loading a new kit. This way you wont have to reassign 16 channels over and over again when testing a few new kits in Cubase.
