Hi everybody,
I am trying to use the Spark CDM Plugin in StudioOne in conjunction with the controller to send MIDI via the MIDI Out port to an external device. Unfortunately the plug in setting says "can't find IAC driver" and I can't click anything here. How do I get this working?

I think you would have to use Studio One to map the midi to the CDM Midi Out, not sure how it works exactly in Studio One but it generally works something like:
- Be sure that the Spark Midi out is enabled and available to studio One (Not the private ports)
- Load Spark Plugin as usual
- Create a new Midi track
- For this track - Select Spark Plugin as the Midi Input
- Select the Spark hardware Midi Out as the tracks midi out.
- Not sure how Studio One does it but usually you will now have to set it to Monitor, so that the track doesn't need to be selected for it it to respond to the midi input. (Just looked at a screenshot of S1 and it looks like the icon next to record on the midi channel is the monitor button)
The private midi ports are simply for 2 way communication between the hardware and plugin, the other ports when using Spark as a plug are only controlled by the DAW.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your hint. But the problem is that i get an error message in the Preferences which say "Send MIDI from Pads" and "Send MIDI from Sequencer" don't work. I assume this is the main problem...

Basically I want to do exactly what this guy here does ...
but I want to do inside the plugin instead of the standalone mode:

Attached is the preference setting I am not able to change.
It's not the exact error message I am getting but you get the idea I hope...

Hi,
I guess you are using the AU version of Spark.
It is better to use the VST if you can. That way you won't have this problem.
If you really need/want to use the AU version you have to configure your IAC Driver as shown in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4sK9jj5q0o).
