Title: Will the Laborotory keyboard control functions in protools 9 and Logic pro
Post by: ANDYNOSOUND on January 24, 2011, 09:55:38 pm
Please tell me that the Laboratory can be used as a controller for other plugins and to control both Logic Pro and Protools 9 on the Mac i.e the transport controls faders and rotators.  Also control a plugin like a Hammond native instrument ???.

I'm using mine as a controller on my Macbook Pro with Logic. I was able to reprogram various controls to different CCs on the front panel (a little weird, but it has a sense to it). The trick is to "enter" each change by pressing the preset knob, and then "store" (key #9) it to memory for later recall when you're finished.
As a visual prompt, I put white labels on sustain 1, release 1, decay 2, and tempo, so my Hammond drawbars are properly labeled for use.
