Title: Analog factory & brass only working with protools, wont open in standalone

I have recently installed both the analog factory & brass2 packages onto a new computer, I am now having problems as i do not run protools on this computer & it seems that both programs will only run when the mbox is pluged in (brass only as an instrument plugin....)..... Quite annoying

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
