Title: Editing MIDI Mapping called "1: Origin Default"
Post by: kokocalamar on September 13, 2010, 02:40:09 pm
Hello,

Is it possible to change the MIDI Mapping called "1: Origin Default"?

The thing is, I want to assign CC 66 (which is empty) to the TAE Amount
parameter, but I want all programs that use the "1: Origin Default" MIDI Mapping to be able to access it. (In other words: all factory programs that are not based on the MiniMg template.)

If I can't do this, I would have to change it on a per patch basis, and save to user locations, and I would really like to avoid that. ;)

Thanks.

Maybe I didn't make my point clearly enough.

This is my simple question: can MIDI Mappings be saved on a global basis (affecting all programs), rather than on program level?

Hello,

Yes MIDI mapping can be saved on a global basis: if many programs are using MIDI mapping X, then chaning the MIDI mapping X will affect all these programs.

But unfortunately MIDI mappings 1->16, including "Origin Default", are factory mappings and can't be saved. So you'll have to re-save the factory programs you want to use with the modified mapping.

That's what I was afraid of...

But now I know, thanks.
