Title: Safe to update to 1.2.5?
Post by: kokocalamar on August 27, 2010, 08:14:23 am
So, is it safe to update to 1.2.5?..

I have 1.0.7 on my machine here, but I've read some disturbing comments about the rotary encoders not working properly after the update, especially the big one.

Any info on this, Arturia?..

Anyway, I just got my Origin yesterday, so I am quite excited about it so far!

Thanks.

Don't worry about it. There are many improvements comparable to 1.0.7..

Make an backup manually before updating to be on the safe side. After updating reset origin.

In case you are not happy, you can downgrade again.

1.2.5. is still not perfect, but much more performant than previous versions in my eyes.

Thanks Super, I'm updating right now.

Had a chance to play the Origin today for a longer period, and what can I say: I am totally blown away!

Let's just hope that the templates for JP8 and CS80 see the light of day, as promised by Arturia. (Is the ARP2600 not considered anymore? The Prophet-5?..)

Thanks.
