Title: Backing up soft license?
Post by: yngwie on December 06, 2009, 02:35:58 am
Has anyone had any success backing up their Syncrosoft soft eLicense so that they can reinstall their system and then successfully reinstall and authorize AF 2.0? I mean without the use of the USB dongle.

I just bought it and installed it to check it out, before I re installed O.S. - Quess I cant until I figure out how there License system works.  I've sent arturia email on this question.  I don't want to reinstall windows and find that my new program(analog factory 2) can't be used.

Can you transfer the license to a dongle then back to the computer later on?  Package did not come with a dongle so I don't know if that's an option

I just got my reply from tech support.  It only took a day.  Yes I can transfer the license onto a USB dongle, then reinstall OS or use it on a different computer as long as the dongle is plugged in.  He said its the standard Steinberg dongle.  I'm happy with that, I already ordered one.
