I am trying to see if anyone out there can help me try to recreate, or give me some ideas on how to patch, a sound from an old hit by the group BREAD. The song is "IF." They took a guitar through a Mg modular and ended up with this sound. I have the mp3 of the effect if anyone offers to help by emailing me at oceantracks@mac.com, or it's up on iTunes where you can listen to a free preview which I'm sure will include a snippet of the effect, it's all through the song, which is heavily acoustic and strings, with the Mg/guitar being the only electric element...
I'm doing a karaoke version of this song for a company and am really stuck because this sound is integral to the song and has me against the wall here.
Thanks for any help. I'm very much a novice when it comes to the Mg Modular btw. I'm on a Mac, using Pro Tools 8.
Thanks
Tom

Sounds like a kind of electric piano sound with a Wah Wah and Tremolo kind of effect by modulating the filter cut-off as well as the amplitude with one and the same LFO, which is in 1/16 mode.
I guess you can do this with your guitar as an external sound source as well.
Hope this helps.
