Hello - this is no doubt an easy one, but I couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for in the forum.
I am currently running both MiniMg V and Prophet V on my iMac. I am selling the iMac and moving everything over to a new Mac Pro. The Prophet is a Syncrosoft-based license, so I don't expect trouble with that one since the license is on the dongle.
However, the MiniMg license is not Syncrosoft-based, it's just registered with Arturia. I don't know the process for moving the app and license to a new machine. Do I uninstall and/or unregister somehow with Arturia? Do I need to request a new activation code?
Appreciate any help here.
Thanks, kkenison58

Follow these steps:
_ from each synth in standalone mode, backup your user banks/presets using the EXPORT function;
_ delete both synthesizers from the iMac;
_ install both on your new computer directly from the updates (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/updates.html);
_ also install the latest LCC (http://www.syncrosoft.com/Support-78-11.html);
_ enter your license number for the MiniMg V;
_ plug your dongle for the Prophet-V;
_ on each synth in standalone mode, restore your banks/presets using the IMPORT function.
Registration is not affected by (re)installations: it is not machine-related but user-related.

My question is very similar, and the answer is probably very similar! :)
I am migrating my main hard drive to a new drive, I made a clone of the entire drive, but of course the MiniMg V doesn't work. If I delete the synths from both hard drives do I need to re-install from the CD, or should I go directly to the update? Do I use the same authorization key, or do I need a new one?
Is there an uninstall script for MiniMg V or do you just drag the app to the trash?

You shall:
1. make a backup of all your banks/subbanks/presets on a safe place
2. transfer your v2.0 license on a USB-eLicenser hardware dongle (sold separately, same as and compatible with Steinberg/Korg/IKMultimedia ones)
3. install on the new drive from the latest update
4. plug your dongle, possibly transfer the license from USB-eLicenser to Soft-eLicenser (strictly optional though)
No uninstall script, simply delete the folder from Applications, and individual files from the usual VST/AU/RTAS folders.

RE: #2... I have no v.2.0 license to transfer, I've been using the version I installed from CD back in 2005.
Also RE: #2... You are telling me I have to purchase some sort of dongle? That's a bit of a hassle. Where do I buy this dongle? How much more am I going to have to pay?
RE: #4, I completely do not understand this answer, forgive me. Will you please elaborate?
The MiniMg V version I have been using up until this point had been authorized by an authorization key provided by Arturia.

Okay, I missed the point you had not upgraded your synthesizer.
If you still want to stick with 1.x version, just:
- reinstall from the last 1.6 version (ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/pub/miniMgv/updates/),
- insert the original CD only when prompted,
- enter the serial (license) number,
- launch the standalone application,
- import the banks/subbanks/presets you had previously backup somewhere else.
1.x users, please disregard the Syncrosoft related indications, they simply do not apply.
Hope this helps. :)

There was a bad hyperlink in your reply, Antoine.

Should be fixed (ftp://ftp2.arturia.com/pub/miniMgv/updates/) now, thanks for pointing this.
