Title: license lost after update
Post by: rmo on February 15, 2009, 06:04:13 pm
i noticed dropouts at the analog factory 2.0 in protools 7.4HD/(powermac G5 OS 10.4.11.) so i decided to check for an update. found one (2.2) and downloaded it. turned out that 2.2. didn't run at all.
so i reinstalled the original 2.0 version from my cd.
after this, the license said it is corrupted. no chance to get it back.
my question: WHY?!#

i'm in a timecritical project and made the mistake not to bounce the sound i wanted to use in the arrangement.

damn syncrosoft. why don't they switch to ilok like everyone else? ??? ??? ???

Fill out the form and tell your problem here:
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=85 (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=85)

Ask for a new activation code

After that you´ll receive a mail with a case-nr. from the support.
When you received the new activation code from support (1 or 2 days after), then you make this steps:
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb_upload/documents/Syncrosoft_AF2-AFE_EN_print.pdf (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb_upload/documents/Syncrosoft_AF2-AFE_EN_print.pdf) (you need acrobat reader)

When the new license-key is installed on your computer, it´s recommend to load this license via License Control Center on a Syncrosoft USB-Stick - the best prevention  ;)

thanks. allready did the form and got a case number.
i was hoping for a quicker repair process. i also followed this thread
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=102
where it "answers" my problem
quote:
I got an error message telling that Soft-eLicenser has been changed or corrupted. Therefore my license is greyed or not appearing anymore.

turns out it's not "repaired". now i can't even see the license greyed out. it's totally gone.

but thanks anyway for an answer....

antoine mailed me a new license this morning. i'm happy again.

his answer:
Well, this seems to be the confusing 2.0=>2.2.1 migration that broke projects compatibility; I mean a project built on AF2.0 unfortunately won't launch with AF2.2.1.
We are still trying to fix it up, but you will have to make a choice:
_ stay with v2.2.1 and clone/rebuild your project
_ reverse to v2.0 and wait for the fix to come:

thanks antoine!!
you made my day!
