Title: Big Problem With The Menu Buttons on Jupiter Mac OS X. Please help!
Post by: jasperh on January 09, 2009, 02:46:02 pm
Hi,

I love my new jupe, but when i try to access the menus when using it as a plug in on Ableton 7 (on Mac OS X 10.4.11) the program will not let me select anything. This means i cannot select presets, apply modulation.

When i run the Jupiter V in standalone mode, everything works fine. But as i cannot access presets, it's not much help at all!

It's a nightmare. I'm gagging to get into this amazing synth.

Please help!

J

I tried the Jupiter 8V demo on Ableton Live 7 in Windows and it worked fine. Must be a compatibility issue with the Mac.

Probably a dumb question, but you are trying to select the presets from the Jupiter 8V GUI (graphical interface) right?

Yeah. I used the GUI. Funny thing is, i started using the Audio Unit instead of the VST, and everything worked perfectly. But just today, the menu buttons on the audio unit Jupiter stopped working and then, after i load up the synth, any attempt to change to another VST/audiounit crashes Ableton.

It's a nightmare. Everything worked fine for a little bit there.

Sigh
