Title: Separating sound.
Post by: Wolf on November 09, 2008, 06:43:17 am

I use: PC, 1sound card, ASID6 Pro and Jupiter-8V.

I lay down track1.
Now I intend to lay down track2.

I would like to listen to track1 when I record track2 but not record track1 as well. Is there a way to do avoided track1 being recorded as well?

With hardware mixers it’s no problem and in fact a must to be able to separate in and outs.

Thanks
Wolf

I solved the problem!

Track1. Copy to computer2, (Laptop).
Listen to track1 on commuter2 and record track2 on computer1
Copy track2 to computer2
Listen to track1+2 on computer2 and record track3 on computer1 a.s.o………..

Prepare 2 connections for a pair of headphones in order to listen to both computers at the same time. (it needs 4 10Ohm resisters in each leg, ie left-right to isolate each connection.)

It works very well.
