Title: Soft synth for Brian Eno-esque pads

I'm pretty much sold that I'm going to get the Arturia Jupiter, but what other soft synth is out there that can do huge/epic/landscape Brian Eno-esque pads (a la 'Where the Streets Have No Name', 'Achtung Baby', etc)?

I currently use a Roland XV-3080 with the Vintage Synth and Asia SR-JV cards, but have Sonar 6 Producer for VST hosting.

Well, Brian Eno has always been a fan of the CS80, listen to "Before and After Science","Music for Airports" and mostly "Cluster and Eno" to get a glimpse

At the time "The Joshua Tree" was recorded, Eno was going through a DX7 phase. The sleeve notes on the LP insert even credit him with "DX7 programmes and keyboards". Whilst I am not suggesting he used a DX7 exclusively on "Where the streets have no name", it could well be a heavily effected DX7.
