Hey, just bought my microbrute, but I have a problem with the power.
I've attached the power supply that came with the MB, but when first turning it on the green octave light flickered a bit. When turning the MB off and then on after about a minute the light no longer came on.
Then leaving it on for about eight minutes didn't do anything either (thought it might have to warm up?).
Any idea what could be going on? Could it just be a defective unit or would there be some way to troubleshoot this?
I tried different outlets and tested them with other electronics as well. Made sure all the connections were secure. Tried listening with the 1/4" jack and the headphone to no avail. Something else?
:/
Thanks for any ideas!

Shit, guess so. Thanks!

what other power adapter did you use? was it 12v DC, 1A mini, center positive?

Similar problem here. Just sent a support ticket.

just got my replacement from guitar guitar .this one so far is o.k the only minor thing is the keys are a lot more up and down
but at least it still works im sure they will get better as batches move on ,,but for now at least it works, hope you get yours sorted out both of you. the synth sounds great i only wish is that it was a rack or a module so i did not have to look at the cheep casio keys.but thats just me.

I tried to submit a support request 3 times without success... no confirmation email nor tracking ID. :(

OK, since for some reason I can't submit any support request, I'm detailing my problem here. I've used my microbrute for approx. 10 hrs without any problem but suddenly one day I couldn't turn it on. I also have the feeling that some electrical current is passing through the synth metallic backplate. Any help would be appreciated.

I already saw dead external power supplies, would you own another 12Vdc 1A, center positive PSU?
like this:

No I don't. :-\
-
so I guess either you have to return it either you can borrow one...
-
Actually, I have a 12Vdc 800mA center positive PSU, would that work ? Otherwise, yes I think I will have to return it but the support requests don't work in my account.
-
Yes 800mA should do the job. Please give it a try and let me know
-
OK so good news, it works! :D
But now I have one PSU for two different stuff... :/ Is it possible to have a new one?

Contact the tech support, explain your story and results(or link this topic) and they will send you a replacement one.
