Title: LFO weird behaviour when set to SEQ and playing under external sync
Post by: Filterseducer on January 12, 2014, 04:48:01 pm
Hello there,

My MB sequencer syncs OK with the song tempo in Ableton Live but, while any song is playing I can't sync the MB LFO with the MB sequencer: LFO sync is not accurate at all, sounding like a fast Sample and Hold effect, no matter which waveform or destination is selected. Tried lots of settings using the Rate knobs and the Tap pad but still sounds weird and not musical at all.

On the Controls section Mod Wheel is set to LFO Amount, On LFO section Sync is set to SEQ and VCA is set to ENV. Mod Matrix is patched from LFO to Filter.
Any idea is welcome. Thanx a lot.

Maybe try the lfo retrigger setting?

are you sure Ableton is not sending modwheel CCs? it would modify LFO amount

Hi guys

and thanx for the answers. I ve found the issue: in Live preferences go to MIDI SYNC tab and on the MIDI PORTS section switch the MB port(s) to off. Thanks Bruno for ur great job.
