Title: korg electribe MIDI out to Microbrute MIDI in problems
Post by: HMEM on January 10, 2014, 09:40:13 am
yesterday I started up my Microbrute for the first time.

-Alone it works perfectly.
-Though when I connect my Korg Electribe R MKII (KORG midi OUT to the midi IN of the MB) I notice some strange behaviour.

I wonder if I am doing something wrong or is this a Microbrute malfunction?

The situation:
If I send a drum pattern from the korg to the MB everything seems to be normal. The Korg plays and MB effects the pattern sent nicely.

But when I press the STOP button on the Korg a single tone keeps on coming out of the Microbrute!
-It goes away when I switch the MB sequencer start/stop/record switch, but is back again if I switch it back.
-The tone goes softer when I switch the Gate --> Env switch and is loud again when I switch it back to Gate.
-Also after disconnecting the Korg from the midi port-in from the MB the tone is still there.

The only way I seem to be able to kill the tone is by switching off the Microbrute!!??

Any suggestions? help please.

Thanks in advance
HMEM

Do you have all of the oscillator volume pots down?  Filter res down?

does the korg sends Note off when you hit Stop?
