Title: using the Micro to send pitch to the mini whats with the octaving?
Post by: flux302 on November 24, 2013, 12:43:00 am
so I want to use the sequencer in the micro to sequence my Minibrute and my eurorack, but for some odd reason the CV pitch output is still 1 octave up to the mini brute no matter how low I try to transpose it. is there going to be a mini brute update to fix this? . now I know when I had it hooked up in reverse there was some octave switching I could do with the keyboard. but how do I get around this issue now? (I want to be triggering the pitch/ gate of the micro from my midi controller, but have it sending the CV info off to the rest of my gear.)

I must be missing something pretty basic. ???

to habe the mini not offsetting incoming CVs, you have two solutions:
At startup, if you don't use the keybed, (receive midi), the default transpose is 0. But as soon as you hit a key, you won't be able to go back to 0.
Using an external midi/usb source, if you send midi note 12, it will set it to 0 too.

The octave -3 option you have on the micro will be implemented on the Mini for the next firmware update.
