Hi,
we do not officially support Power PC Macs as well as Pro Tools 8.
I am very surprised that Spark can even run on a G5. Are you sure it is not an Intel Mac?
Concerning Pro tools, you can check this SOS article (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec07/articles/ptworkshop_1207.htm). It gives some really useful information, especially the RTAS Processors section.

So it's not a G5, because G5 is PPC :).
Did you check the SOS article?
