Title: Logic Pro for iPad
Post by: AndyChannelle on May 10, 2023, 06:02:59 pm
So... Amazing news, Apple is releasing Logic Pro for the iPad, with quite a few different devices supported. My question is, will this mean a flurry of announcements for plugs ins, effects and instruments being updated to AUv3, including perhaps the V-Collection? It's been a standard on the iPad now for many years, but I'm hoping Logic will inspire developers to get on board.

In my dreams, the EU or some other forcing function causes Apple to open up iPad to 3rd party app stores, Arturia releases ASC for iPad, and I get to use one of my activations on y iPad ;D Not holding my breath, but I’d love to see it.

We wouldn't even need sideloading. It could all happen via the existing App Store. The main thing discouraging developers of pro-grade 'pro-priced' software from putting their apps on the App Store is greedy Apple taking 30% of the purchase price.
