Title: Rubber key contact strip for Keylab 49 Essential
Post by: KevinMcS on May 08, 2023, 12:59:09 pm
Hi, I wonder of anyone would know where I could obtain a 13 key rubber key contact strip for a 2018 model Keylab 49 Essential?

I am having a problem with a key not working. I have cleaned the contact and done the usual things as shown on Youtube which has helped but hasn't completely cured the problem. I thought if I could replace the section of conductive rubber contact that would do the trick. Trying to find the right type online though is proving difficult.  Are the conductive key strips based upon those used in other keyboards, e.g Yamaha, Roland, etc?  If anyone knows where I could source one would very much appreciate it.

Hi It's probably going to be best if you raise a ticket through Arturia for this, however I suspect they'll tell you to take to a service agent. Total conjecture on my part but I think Arturia buy the keybeds in, though I don't know from where other than a Chinese supplier. (The 88's are Fatar keybeds, but these are completely different.)

Thanks for the suggestion.  I guess raising a ticket through Arturia is probably the sensible thing to do.  I appreciate your help and thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Regards,

Kevin

No worries Kevin.
Truth is it very likely is just a generic part, but you'd probably have to buy a dozen different ones to find a match.
