Title: Random/ Touring/ Poly KBD retrig issue/ bug
Post by: LBH on March 26, 2023, 05:07:07 pm
Hello,

When using the Random/ Touring then PolyKBD won't work like i would think it should.
I would exspect each note to get it's own seperate modulation. But all notes get the same modulation set by the last trigger.
To me that's a bug.

Hello LBH

How have you been?
Turing is a mono modulator, the poly Kbd setting has been kept because it's everywhere on Pigments, but this one is a lie.
Sorry for the inconvenience and, nice catch!
Kind regards.

Hi Matthieu,

I'm ok thanks. I hope you are fine and have had a nice Easter holliday.

Thanks for your reply.

However - I see no reason why the Turing module should'nt be polyphonic. It would be much more useful. Also the manual (or the tutorial for that matter) does'nt mention it's not polyphonic. Quite the opposite as it's mentioned it have 17 retrig sources. It's should be 16 not counting it self, and 15 if not Poly KBD shall count. But the it self option is faded out in the options, while the Poly KBD is not faded out. It's clear "it self module" should'nt be an option - also logically, but not that Poly KBD should not be an option and not work polyphonic.
It's confusing Poly KBD is available as a trigger, if it's not working as exspected. It make it harder to understand what's going on and learn.

I still consider this to be a bug, as it unexspected, it can't run polyphonic mode. Everything point in the direction it should be possible. It would also make much more sense it was/ is.

Why is it only mono and not poly at all at the moment?
I suggest Arturia make Turing work in Poly mode no matter it's a bug or not.
