Title: Drive Oscillators into the Filter/Distortion Audio-Processor

Not sure it's even possible with the design, but it would be great to be able to drive the oscillators going into the analog filter for saturation. Short of getting a "Drive Parameter" function for the filter itself, it would be great to have the 2nd Oscillator have a Distortion audio-processor type that's less extreme than the Destroy processor so we can get some more organic sounding saturation pre-filter.

Hello SentientMachine and Riemac,

there is actually a way to drive the Minifreak's OSCs and filters but can be very dirty.
I personally love it but it is hard to tame/gain stage:

Feedback from Audio In.

- Connect an unused audio output (i use Headphones) to Audio In
- Set OSC 1 to Audio In
- Unison
- Press and hold a note
Now the hard part
- Set Master volume at 50% ( and lower the volume of your speakers)
- Raise the volume of OSC 2 or push the filter's resonance to max
- Utility/Audio/Audio In Gain
- Try to raise or lower this setting until you hear feedback
- The Goal is to have a tamed feedback using only sustain to control it (master volume untouched)

Now you can unhold the note and enjoy a more ms-20 ish filter and drive the OSC 2.

It gets really wild if you add FXs or comb filters (i love it).
Note that the goal is to really have a fixed setting with utility gain, and be able to perform it using sustain.

Thanks for the response Matthieu!

While that's a really awesome trick and an example of the flexibility that I love about the Minifreak, it's not quite the effect I'm looking for and the feedback routing aspect of the patch makes it somewhat volatile. It'd still be great to have a simple way to just drive the oscillators gain harder into the filter to get some saturation, like how the Matrixbrute has the Drive knob etc.

+1 on this! An « overdrive » OSC available in OSC2 slot would really open up the analog size of this already great beast  ;D
