So I've been loving my minifreak. I finally got around to getting a decent multi channel audio interface so that i can get all of my synths working without switching cables constantly...
I have to turn the gain up to around 8 on the mixer to get a decent level of sound from the minifreak (minifreak master volume is maxed) once the other machines are running. none of the other devices need their gain level turned up from the minimum level, and none have their individual volumes maxed.
Am i missing something, or is the minifreak just really quiet?

Sounds like something must be wrong - healthy levels here.

hello
I am also encountering this issue. Don't know why its happening.

One thought: are you using balanced cables?

It was the cable. I thought I had it connected right, but got my wires crossed with another device.

I connected MiniFreak's outputs to my audio interface (MOTU M4) with quality TRS balanced cables. Playing one note (preset 28 - Crush Bass) with maximum master volume on MiniFreak results in about -18.0 dB signal peak (measuring in Ableton). Is this a normal line out level for MiniFreak? I also thought that it's a bit low. Maybe someone could do a comparison on the same preset? Just want to make sure that there is no hardware problem with my MF.

Hi all.
I’ve had my MF about a month or so but due to work haven’t played much.
Tonight I plugged into my UA Apollo duo mk2 to have a play.
I noticed that some presets are very loud and others are barely audible. Is this normal?
Off to sleep now but will post specific presets tomorrow.
Cheers
