Title: Buzzing sound when connecting headphone or speakers
Post by: Nollo on December 31, 2022, 09:59:29 am
Hello,

When I plug my headphone (beyerdynamic dt 700 pro x) or monitoring speakers and I power on the minifreak, I get a continuous shrill sound whatever the key I press or not, presets etc.

I changed the plug (all grounded) of the power supply, still the same sound.

It seems to work fine with Minifreak V.

Hi again!

So I tried to do a firmware update with offline mode, it failed.
=> booting, all led on, cannot do anything

Tried in update mod (Shift + Octave) and updating from Minifreak V (no firmware was detected), failed.
=> Assign was blinking and nothing else, no reboot

I closed the app, powered off/on and it boots again, with presets and all!

AND NOW the magic! I can plug my headphone and it works fine!

I was afraid to have bricked my minifreak for the weekend but it seems to work fine right now!

Thanks for the welcome!

Did you try the sequencer when using minifreak v and minifreak? It doesn't seem to be synced

Yes, the sequencer in the synth and the software runs independently - the transport control of one does not affect the other. The contents of the sequencer stays synced between the hard and soft -ware though.

It seems to be a design decision, although I'm not sure why that choice was made since everything else is 1:1 synced. If nothing else, you can play canons by starting them at different times...  :P

Many thanks for the clarification.

I'll post a feature request as I have another sequencer feature request ^^'

Happy new year!

A feature request sounds like a good idea.

You almost ended up in my failed update thread!
