Title: Arturia Software Center on MacOS Ventura Backgroundobject Messages
Post by: ddsc on December 20, 2022, 06:23:15 pm
Hey,

maybe someone already expirienced that issue and knows a solution.

The ASC continously adds Objects to the Background-Startup-Tasks in Ventura, and is annoying me with its Messages.
I already gave ASC the rights to Startup automatically.

Is there anything i can do about that? Or do i have to wait until Arturia updates their Software?

Yep, same issue here. I’m getting “new login items added” notifications from Arturia every time I restart my computer regardless of Notification Centre being disabled or enabled.
I have 2 entries from Arturia in login/background apps and both are enabled.
Very frustrating. Issue started after Arturia’s latest update of ASC dated 12th of December  ???  >:(
Arturia fix it PLEASE…

Here is exact notification I'm getting every time when restarting my Mac and when I click on notification...

"Background items added.
Arturia software centre added items that can run in the background.
You can manage this in login items settings"

Needless to say that no matter of my settings - notifications on or off, background items on or off, this pops up in notification centre every time I restart my Mac  ???
It also will pop up if I click on notification as well... WTF  :-X
BTW; I'm on macOS 13.1 (latest)

Don't blame me, I'm just a regular user like you, other than I took the time to check that the apps and plugins I need to use were compatible with the OS before upgrading. All I did was provide you with a link to the FAQ which clearly shows they're not yet compatible, hence that's why you may be having issues.

Quick tip, your motivational skills to persuade others to willing do what you want (for free) kind of need work.

Oki-Doki, I have resolved the issue with try and error  ;)
Deleted plist preference file, restarted my Mac and installed the previous version of ASC - Ver 2.4.4.725.
No more notifications  ;D
BTW; Intriguingly, ASC stil shows the current version - 2.4.5.760
Go and figure...  ::)
