Hello there,
I bought a MicroFreak this summer because I wanted a small synth for my holidays
After three months with it, I have to say that it's the funnier to play and the most inspiring synthesizer I've ever owned
I've always loved making tracks overdubbing only one instrument. So I share with you some of the tracks I made
The videos are copyright free movies that I edit to make them fit with the music
Other tracks are coming very soon
Enjoy !

Mr. Cailou,
I am very impressed with your musical compositions. Are you classically trained? It sound as though many of your pieces were composed at the piano and performed using the Microfreak. Is that so? At any rate very nice work.

Thank you for your comment
The structure of my pieces are composed on guitar, ukulele or direct to paper. Then i write a four voices score on the piano roll in Reaper. The following step is to "orchestrate" that score for multiple MicroFreak using all what the electronic can bring. It's the laboratory part of the process
I studyed music out of the musical institutions, mostly in my room trusting my ears and analysing the works of the masters
Happy you enjoy it

Really nice works Mr Caillou - bravo!!

Yes, nice original work, Mr. (Fred?) Caillou ;D.
Portrait in F and Ticket have this modern Tati atmosphere, with a bit of nostalgia (also in Pinabloche).

Thank you :)
... and no Françoise, I'm not Fred

Hi there !
I am new to the MicroFreak family: this is my only digital synth, in a setup of otherwise purely analog machines (an ARP2600 clone and a Moog Subharmonicon+DFAM Sound Studio). I LOVE the little beast, it makes writing music on-the-go just a breeze.
As a first test piece, I wrote a simple song that I recorded using only the MicroFreak (and my voice obviously). You can find it on the small YouTube channel I opened to share my electronic music explorations with friends and family: Going Modular.
Here is the link to the song, all feedback will be much appreciated:

I am eager to listen to the work of other MicroFreak freaks ! ;)
