Title: Prophet V filter attack randomly not working

Hi there,

I set the attack of the prophet V to have a nice sweep and half of the time when I press a key, there will be no attack time, the filter is immediately open.

Even if I press a single key several times, it will sometimes slowly open the filter, sometimes be directly fully open.

Any suggestions ?

Hi,

It's allways good if you name a factory preset or post a preset to be explored.

It sound like you use long Filter Envelope Release times to what i suppose is a slow Attack time.
You allways start at current envelope level, when you hit a key, so it can build up so you at a point start at max level. That's quite normal behavior in at least vintage analog synth.

A Prophet 5 use reassign playmode, so when you repeat the same note, then the same voice is assigned.

Can this be what you exsperience?

Hello,

Indeed I had not payed attention to the release time of the filter envelope which was had a very slow setting. Hence the perceived "randomness" which actually wasn't !
