Title: Running out of steps to create 10&12 beat tabla “taals”

I haven’t found any solution searching around. I’m recreating some tabla patterns using 32nd note steps (the other variations don’t work). I can create taals up to 8 beats in length with this setting, and I am able to use polyrhythm to program funky 5, 6 and 7 beat taals - but I can’t seem to program them correctly outside of 1/32nd mode.

So far the only work around I can think of is maybe make one 12 note taal two separate 6 beat patterns and maybe use song mode to stick them together? 


I would appreciate any advice.

The answer was stringing 2 32nd note 5 beat patterns together in song mode
