Title: Traditional Sustain action
Post by: Marty McFly on March 11, 2022, 04:15:51 am
Hey guys. I'm an old hardware guy just getting used to soft synths and love my mkII.
Question... I am surprised I'm having a hard time identifying how to program the mkII to have
its sustain port act... like a sustain pedal.  (And what I mean is that you press down on the pedal and it hold the notes until you release it back up again). I keep only seemingly seeing the option for on-off configuration which means a lot more work for your foot. lol.  Can anyone guide me in this?  I super appreciate it.  Marty

Hi,

Welcome in 2022.

Which OPTION is selected for Keylabs Sustain pedal settings? Toogle or Gate?

Hey... thanks for welcoming me to the future. LOL
Thank you as well... for making a comment here for me.
My setting was on GATE so I switched it to TOGGLE and that seems to be working better now.
Thank you very much for the tip on that.
So.. I am assuming that the lesson here is that if you want the traditional sustain pedal performance you must have your
setting on TOGGLE?

That sound strange. I would say the GATE position should be the one to use.
Perhaps you should try a factory reset following the instructions in the manual carefully. Or if you haven't updated your firmware, then try to do that.

I don't have a Arturia controller.
