I am having CPU overload issues with Pigments 3.0 / 3.5 on MacOS.
It seems that Pigments only uses 1 thread. I have attached a image of the CPU usage monitor of Logic Pro (10.7.2), when I disable pigments while playing the last core/thread drops to 10/15%. Disabling FX in Pigments doesn't matter.
Is this a known problem? or is Pigments not multi threaded? I have this with 50% of the patches.
My hardware: Mac Mini 2018 with a 3,2 GHZ 6-Core Intel i7 with 32GB of RAM

I dont know the answer to your question but I have a similar setup (4 core) and no problems unless I am really stretching Pigments. Out of interest have you tried switching the Processing Threads from Automatic to 6 core (in your case).

i have an i7 6core at 3.8Ghz but in a windows machine and pigments is using 30% CPu time (idle) .
if i try to play a track in studio one with a pigment in it i get cpu overloads
resulting in pops cracks hickups and what not.

If the overload disappears as soon as you move the Pigments window out of sight/ put it behind another window, it is the same bug as an Windows. The OpenGL is used inconsistently and in a "hacked" way, it will fall back to pure software rendering and exception flooding.
