Title: Mod weel only works on midi channel 1

On my keylab essentials 61 & Ableton Live Lite:
I configured ableton with a few instruments all on a different midi channel, and while chaning instruments works by chaning the midi channel on the keyboard, the mod weel (and perhaps other buttons?) only work on midi channel 1. Is this normal? How can I fix this?
