Title: Help with setting up V Collection and Nord Electro 5

Hi,

Is it possible to use a Nord Electro 5 as a controller for V Collection?  If so, what's the recommended setup?  Can you map controllers on the Nord to controls in the V collection instruments?

Hi,

It depend on the keyboard.

According to page 16 this manual it look like, it can be used at least for something: https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/default/files/files/downloads/manuals/nord-electro-5/Nord%20Electro%205%20English%20User%20Manual%20v1.x%20Edition%20E.pdf
You have to be sure your controller controls is set to send midi, if it shall send midi CC messages. (Check the keyboards Control Change mode settings.)
Please read the Keyboards manual as there might be more info about this in it.


I suggest you download a Arturia application and run it in demo mode.
I would connect the Keyboard with the computer using the USB.
Then when you open the audio and midi settings in Arturias applications, then it should show up in there.
Please also download the manual for the Arturia application you will try, to read about that.

Test it to find out how and how much it works.
