Hi all,
I recently purchased a new Keystep Pro which arrived yesterday. I have not had any luck in getting it to successfully sync to my DAW which is Cubase 10.5. The keystep is receiving midi clock, but the BPM is fluctuating between 1-3 bpm between what is showing in my DAW. When I record the midi back in from the Keystep into Cubase I see that the notes are all over the place on the grid. The feature set of the keystep is great, but getting it to work is a headache. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
DAW: Cubase 10.5
Windows 10
Soundcard: NI Komplete Audio 6
Set up: DAW as main clock sending midi over USB to KSP.
KSP: Firmware 2
Midi control centre and driver installed.
I have also tried to set up the KSP in Ableton 11 and Studio One 4.5 and the drift of the midi notes is almost exactly the same issue - and on the KSP is shows the BPM drifting. So this seems to be an issue either that is not DAW related, but system or KSP related. ???
Any help or ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated. I guess i'll give this a couple of days to fix, but if not I'll have to sadly send the unit back.
Thanks
Kev

This is a known issue. There is a thread about it already. Best to keep it all in there, for conciseness. :)
